Cruises - Norwegian Sun
|
|

|
There
are few better places from which you can appreciate scenery
like Alaska’s famous Sawyer Glacier or marvellous cityscapes
like Vancouver’s than from one of the many panoramic
lounges aboard NCL’s luxurious Norwegian Sun. In between
two days spent enjoying the magical views along Canada’s
Inside Passage, you’ll call on the remote communities
that dot the Alaskan Panhandle. And while bald eagle fly overhead
and all manner of wildlife clinging to the ice around you
will keep a weather eye on your progress, the people here
will have a warm welcome waiting. |

of your journey |

|
KETCHIKAN,
ALASKA
Alaska’s ‘First City’ is wedged between the waters
of the Tongass Narrows and the steep forests of Deer Mountain. Jetties
and staircases make getting about a novel experience, while just
outside town are some of the world’s largest collection of
totem poles.
SKAGWAY,
ALASKA
From one log cabin to a town of 20,000 souls, Skagway grew overnight
in the winter of 1897. The Gold Rush came and went, leaving a desolate
trail of corruption and gun fighting desperados. The railway followed
soon after and you can still ride the White Pass and Yukon Route
railway today. |
 |

|
|
JUNEAU,
ALASKA
Alaska’s capital is also one of America’s most beautiful
cities. A tram ride to the top of Mt. Roberts is a great way to
appreciate the view. Visit one of the many mining museums, try panning
for gold and shop in the old town, much of it dating back to the
1800’s.
SAWYER
GLACIER
Surrounded by snow-capped mountains at the end of Tracy Arm Fjord,
Sawyer Glacier is home to some wonderful wildlife. Seabirds, seals,
sea lions and porpoises all have their home in the region. |
