Day 1: Sunday:Arrival in Toronto
Arrive independently at your centrally located hotel. After a check-in with your tour director, the remainder of the day is free. Stay 2 nights in Toronto.
Day 2: Monday:Toronto
Start the day with a ‘Welcome to Canada’ breakfast before setting out on a morning city tour.
Remainder of the day is free.
Day 3:Tuesday:Toronto to Montréal
We follow the north shore of Lake Ontario, passing endless miles of rolling farmland. Our destination is the beautiful Thousand Islands resort region where we embark upon a relaxing cruise. After taking in the sights and sounds of this river, we board our tour coach for a short drive to Montréal.
Stay 2 nights in Montréal. *9 Day Mini Eastern Explorer from Toronto commences. Passengers must check with the tour director at 7.00am at the Delta Chelsea Inn,Toronto. The coach departs the hotel for Montréal at 08.00am.
Day 4:Wednesday: Montréal
We travel to Morrisburg and Upper Canada Village, an impressive ‘living’ recreation of a 19th century Canadian pioneer settlement.We continue to Montréal and highlights include the Olympic complex, home to the 1976 Summer Olympics, Mount Royal, McGill University, elegant residential areas and Old Montréal.
Day 5:Thursday: Montréal to Québec City
This morning we prepare to depart Montréal’s cosmopolitan atmosphere and follow a route winding through typical French Canadian villages and towns. Stay 2 nights in Québec City.
Day 6: Friday: Québec City
A day at leisure, when you can enjoy an optional full day excursion to Tadoussac including a 3 hour
whale watching tour. If you prefer why not just explore this historic French Canadian city with
narrow streets and unique boutiques.
Day 7: Saturday: Québec City to Ottawa
Following the north shore of the St. Lawrence, past Montréal on to Ottawa. Stop for lunch along the way at the Sucrerie de la Montagne - an authentic sugar shack and pioneer-style restaurant.The remainder of the day is at leisure. Stay 2 nights in Ottawa.
Day 8: Sunday: Ottawa
Following a native breakfast at Turtle Island we take a morning tour of this lovely city.View the Parliament Buildings, the residences of the prime minister and the Governor General, the Rideau Canal and much more.The afternoon is free for independent exploration of Ottawa’s many attractions.
Day 9: Monday: Ottawa to Midland
Our journey west from Ottawa features sparkling lakes, rushing streams, deep forests and typical
northern towns.The trip is highlighted by a drive through Algonquin Provincial Park, an immense
wildlife and forest preserve. Soon we enter the Muskoka region our destination for the night.

Day 10: Tuesday: Midland
to Niagara Falls
This morning we visit Ste. Marie among the Hurons. This fascinating 3 acre historic site is a detailed reconstruction of the first inland European community in Canada. Next, we motor south past
Toronto, through the orchards and vineyards of the Niagara Peninsula and on to Niagara Falls. Enjoy
a boat ride on the ‘Maid-of-the-Mist’ along the Niagara River to the foot of the falls. Rest of
the day at leisure. Overnight in Niagara Falls.
Day 11: Wednesday: Niagara
Falls to Toronto
Before leaving Niagara Falls this morning we take a ride to the top of the Skylon Tower, we then follow the scenic Niagara Parkway to the Magnotta Winery to samples some great wines.We continue
to the village of Niagara-on-the-Lake, a small but thriving community, proud to display a carefully
preserved 19th century atmosphere.This afternoon completes the last segment of our journey with
arrival in Toronto.Tonight we gather for our farewell dinner party at the CN Tower. Overnight in Toronto.
Day 12:Thursday: Toronto to Calgary
Passengers combining both tours including trans
Canada flight will be transferred to Toronto Pearson International Airport for a flight with Westjet Airlines* to Calgary and upon arrival will be transferred to their downtown hotel. *Passengers booking other flight will have to arrange private transfers at both ends at their own cost. Stop overnight in Calgary.
Day 13: Friday: Calgary to Banff National Park
Start the day with a Calgary city tour, then travel
west on the Trans-Canada Highway into the rolling
foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Majestic peaks
soon fill the horizon as we enter Banff National
Park, our first of several in the Canadian National
Parks system. Stay 2 nights in Banff.
Day 14: Saturday: Banff National Park
Enjoy touring the region around Banff.The town
became Canada’s first national park in 1885
to protect a natural hot spring.Visit the original
hot springs, the landmark Banff Springs Hotel,
Tunnel Mountain and Bow Falls.The afternoon
is at leisure to stroll on Banff Avenue or relax
and enjoy the scenery.
Day 15: Sunday: Banff National Park to
Jasper National Park
Today’s journey in Jasper and Banff National Parks
promises to be a highlight of our programme.Travel
north on the famed Icefields Parkway, regarded as
perhaps Canada’s most scenic drive. Shortly after
leaving Banff, we first stop to visit Lake Louise,
one of the most photographed scenes in Canada.
At the Columbia Icefield board a specially
constructed ‘SnoCoach’ to ride on the surface
of the Athabasca Glacier. Overnight in Jasper.
Day 16: Monday: Jasper National Park to
Sun Peaks Resort
Travel west along the Yellowhead Highway and into
the heartland of British Columbia.The route takes us
along the Thompson River, through the picturesque
Shuswap Highlands to the Sun Peaks Resort, one
of Canada’s foremost ski areas. Breathtaking and
unspoiled vistas await visitors during every season of the year. Overnight at Sun Peaks Resort.
Day 17: Tuesday: Sun Peaks Resort to
Whistler
Expect a day of dramatic scenery changes. Passing
the ‘cowboy country’ ranch land of Kamloops and
Cache Creek, our route clings to the steep canyon
walls of the Fraser River. Lillooet was the supply
centre for the Cariboo Gold Rush of 1860 and
follow a breathtaking route through the wilderness
mapped by the gold-seekers. Our destination is
Whistler Village, a famed ski centre, and now a
popular year-round resort, located on the edge of
Garibaldi Provincial Park. Overnight in Whistler.
Day 18: Wednesday:Whistler to Victoria
We drive south to Horseshoe Bay today, through
spectacular coastal scenery, on the Sea-to-Sky
Highway.We cruise by ferry across the Strait of
Georgia to Vancouver Island and continue by coach
to Victoria, British Columbia’s capital city. En route
we visit the Native Heritage Centre in Duncan,
where we experience culture and traditions of the
native people. Stay next two nights in Victoria.
Day 19: Thursday:Victoria
Today, we enjoy a tour of charming Victoria and
Butchart Gardens. Proud of her maritime heritage,
Victoria has retained a quaint, colonial demeanour,
evident in the many 19th century landmarks. At
Butchart Gardens, one of the world’s great floral
displays, there is ample time for browsing through the
regal gardens.The remainder of the day is at leisure.
Day 20: Friday:Victoria to Vancouver
Depart Victoria this morning on a pleasant cruise
through the Gulf Islands resort region to the
oceanside city of Vancouver. Upon arrival in
Vancouver we enjoy an interesting tour of the city,
including Stanley Park, English Bay, Gastown,
Chinatown and much more.The remainder of the
day is free to explore or simply relax.This evening
features our farewell dinner party at the Capilano
Suspension Bridge. Overnight in Vancouver.
Day 21: Saturday: End of tour
