Beautiful Vancouver is the starting point for this two week circular tour that showcases the National Parks of the Canadian Rockies. Eastbound from Vancouver, the itinerary ventures through the Okanagan Valley, Glacier National Park, and Banff and Jasper National Parks.West from Jasper are the Yellowhead Pass,Wells Gray Park and Garibaldi Provincial Park before returning to Vancouver.

Itinerary


Day 1:Arrival in Vancouver
Pick up your rental car and make for your downtown hotel.Your personalised Roadbook will be at the front desk when you check-in.The remainder of the day is at leisure. Stay 2 nights in Vancouver.

Day 2:Vancouver
A full day in Vancouver and the surrounding area. Some suggestions include the MacMillan Planetarium, Chinatown, Gastown, Granville Island, Grouse Mountain and Stanley Park.

Day 3:Vancouver to Penticton
(395km) Travel through the Coastal Mountains and Manning Provincial Park.We suggest a visit to the 560 acre Okanagan Game Farm near Penticton. Overnight in Penticton.

Day 4: Penticton to Revelstoke
(260km) Take time in the morning to enjoy the Okanagan Valley.Then drive past spectacular waterfalls, towering peaks and beautiful lakes en route to the Revelstoke area. Overnight near Revelstoke.

Day 5: Revelstoke to Banff / Canmore

(280km) Scenic drive through Glacier National Park and Rogers Pass en route to Canada’s oldest national park and the bustling resort town of Banff. Stay 2 nights in Banff/Canmore.

Day 6: Banff National Park
A day to tour Banff and the surrounding area.Visit the Banff Springs Hotel or Bow Falls or ride the Sulphur Mountain Gondola.Try river rafting or a boat tour on Lake Minnewanka.

Day 7: Banff / Canmore to Jasper National Park

(285km) Drive to Jasper via the spectacular Icefields Parkway.We suggest a stop at Peyto Lake and a ‘SnoCoach’ ride on the Columbia Icefield. Stay 2 nights in Jasper.

Day 8: Jasper National Park
A day to relax and tour Jasper and the surrounding area.We suggest a Maligne Lake boat cruise, Miette Hot Springs or a ride on the Jasper tramway.

Day 9: Jasper to 100 Mile House

(465km) Drive through the Yellowhead Pass, beside Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Rockies, and
continue south along the Thompson River, skirting the perimeter of Wells Gray Park.We suggest stops in Blue River and Clearwater en route to 100 Mile House. Stay 2 nights in 100 Mile House.

Day 10: 100 Mile House
Enjoy outdoor activities today. Swimming, hiking, trail riding and fitness classes are featured. Golfing is nearby.

Day 11: 100 Mile House to Whistler
(300km) Scenic drive south along the Cariboo Highway and Duffey Lake Road to the edge of Garibaldi Provincial Park and the popular yearround resort of Whistler. Stay 2 nights in Whistler.

Day 12:Whistler
A day to relax and enjoy outdoor activities including hiking, sailing, windsurfing, golfing, tennis and boating,
as well as shopping in Whistler Village.

Day 13:Whistler to Vancouver

(125km) Morning at leisure to visit the village. Scenic 2 hour drive to Vancouver. Evening free to do some last-minute shopping or sample the fine cuisine and nightlife of Vancouver. Overnight near Vancouver airport.

Day 14: End of tour
Return your rental car.
