The discovery tour of Canada’s national parks
continues along the scenic Icefields Parkway with
a visit to Jasper.The beauty of Wells Gray
Provincial Park and the Thompson River are
next to take centre stage before enjoying two
days in the relaxing setting of Tyax Mountain
Lake Resort. After indulging in the outdoor
paradise of Whistler your trail leads to the Pacific
Rim National Park, on the Pacific coast of
Vancouver Island.Your adventure is completed
with a visit to Victoria and Vancouver. |

| Itinerary |

Day 1:Arrival in Calgary
Arrive at your centrally located hotel. Remainder of
the day at leisure. Overnight in Calgary.
Day 2: Calgary to Banff
(130km) Head towards the magnificent Rocky
Mountains, travel through the foothills and then
enter Banff National Park and on to Banff, where the
remainder of the day is free. Stay 2 nights in Banff.
Day 3: Banff National Park
A stunning National Park and your outdoor
playground for the day. Enjoy a gondola ride to the
top of Sulphur Mountain for some panoramic views,
visit the Cave and Basin, hike along one of the
groomed trails or stroll through the town of Banff.
Day 4: Banff to Lake Louise
(75km) Drive through the Bow Valley to beautiful
Lake Louise. From across the valley take a chairlift up
Whitehorn Mountain. Overnight in Lake Louise.
Day 5: Lake Louise to Jasper
(230km) Drive via the spectacular Icefields Parkway.
Stop at Peyto Lake and visit Maligne Canyon in
Jasper National Park. At the Columbia Icefield take a
ride onto the massive glacier. Drive on to the resort
town of Jasper. Stay 2 nights in Jasper.
Day 6: Jasper National Park
Day at leisure to explore Jasper National Park where
lakes and meadows stand in stark contrast to jagged
peaks and spectacular glaciers.We suggest a Maligne
Lake boat cruise, a visit to Miette Hot Springs, or a
ride on the Jasper Tramway.
Day 7: Jasper to Wells Gray Provincial Park
(440km) Drive along the scenic Yellowhead
Highway. Before leaving the Rocky Mountains you
will see spectacular Mount Robson, the highest peak
in the Rockies. A visit to the volcano-shaped
wilderness of Wells Gray Provincial Park is worth
the detour. Overnight in Clearwater.
Day 8:Wells Gray Provincial Park to Gold Bridge
(350km) Visit the Yellowhead Museum or Spahats
Creek Park before travelling through the ‘Lakes
Country’ region. Follow the Cariboo Highway south.
Arrive at Tyax Mountain Resort and enjoy bird and
wildlife watching, riding, mountain biking and gold
panning. Overnight at Tyax Mountain Lake Resort.
Day 9: Gold Bridge
Enjoy a combination of outdoor adventure and
first-class facilities. Discover the area on a hiking
excursion on a eco trail. Overnight in Gold Bridge.
Day 10: Gold Bridge to Whistler
(130km) Drive to Whistler where you can play a
round of golf, hike along endless trails and high alpine
meadows, go horseriding or whitewater raft down
one of the turbulent rivers. Alternatively, relax in the
enchanting pedestrian village and enjoy the boutiques,
restaurants and cafés. Overnight in Whistler.
Day 11:Whistler to Pacific Rim National Park
(310km - land only) Travel the Sea-to-Sky Highway
through a landscape carved out by glaciers and edged
by craggy fjords. Continue to Horseshoe Bay and
board a ferry to Vancouver Island.Your drive takes
you through ancient rainforests and provincial parks,
where you might catch a glimpse of bears, deer or
wolves.The Pacific Rim National Park is a marvel of
ecological and geographical diversity. Stay 2 nights in
Pacific Rim National Park.
Day 12: Pacific Rim National Park
Day at leisure to explore the rugged coastline along
the network of hiking trails or walk the shoreline of
Long Beach in search of shells and driftwood.
Day 13: Pacific Rim National Park to Victoria
(325km) Drive towards Victoria, a beautiful city with a
fascinating maritime heritage and colonial charm.Visit
the harbour area, the totem poles of Thunderbird Park,
the Royal British Columbia Museum or the Empress
Hotel for a traditional High Tea. Overnight in Victoria.
Day 14:Victoria to Vancouver
(70km - land only) Visit Butchart Gardens. Enjoy a
mini-cruise on BC Ferries guiding you around the
many Gulf Islands through the Strait of Georgia to
mainland British Columbia. Rest of the day at leisure
to enjoy Vancouver, the ‘Jewel’ of North America’s
Pacific Coast. Stay 2 nights in Vancouver.
Day 15:Vancouver
Day at leisure to explore Vancouver. Don’t miss a
visit to the Capilano Suspension Bridge.
Day 16: End of tour
Tour ends when you check-out from your hotel.
