Itinerary


Day: 1 Arrive in Calgary

Transfer independently to your hotel. Pick up your Jonview Canada Roadbook at the front desk as you check in.The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore this spirited cowboy city. Overnight in Calgary.

Day 2: Calgary
This day is at leisure to create your urban adventure in the Stampede City and from your first impressions of Western Calgary.

Day 3: Calgary to Banff
(130km) Today, it’s a spectacular drive into the Rocky Mountains. Depart Calgary and travel through the foothills before entering Banff National Park with its towering peaks and dense forests. Enjoy this charming all-season town.We suggest taking a gondola ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain for a stunning 360-degree view of the area. Also of interest may be a visit to the Cave & Basin National Historic Site, the luxurious Banff Springs Hotel, Surprise Corner or Lake Minnewanka. Overnight in Banff.

Day 4: Banff to Jasper
(285km) Your drive today will bring you past Moraine Lake and world-famous Lake Louise, two of the most picturesque alpine lakes in Canada. Continue along the spectacular Icefields Parkway with its amazing array of peaks, valleys, glaciers and waterfalls.We suggest stopping at the Columbia Icefield for an unforgettable ride onto a sprawling glacier in a specially-designed Ice Explorer coach. Overnight in Jasper.

Day 5: Jasper to Clearwater

(230km) Set out for Clearwater and Wells Gray Provincial Park along the scenic Yellowhead Highway and take in the breathtaking vistas of the steep-walled gorges and the crashing falls of the North Thompson River. Overnight in Clearwater.

Day 6: Clearwater / Wells Gray Provincial Park

You have a full day to enjoy the many outdoor recreational activities available in the park including hiking, canoeing, horseback riding or river rafting.We suggest a visit to Helmcken Falls, towering over one of the park’s most dramatic canyons. Overnight in Clearwater.

Day 7: Clearwater to Ashcroft

(250km) Drive through the windswept cowboy country of the British Columbia interior and along the Thompson River to Ashcroft where you’ll spend two nights at the Sundance Guest Ranch. Family-owned and operated, the ranch is home to a herd of 80 horses and a corral of buffalo. Explore the surrounding countryside on a guided
trail ride led by a friendly wrangler. Overnight at Sundance Guest Ranch. Dinner included.

Day 8:Ashcroft / Sundance Guest Ranch

Enjoy a full day on the ranch with complimentary use of outdoor pool, tennis court, volleyball net, horseshoe pitch and games room with dart board, billiard and card tables.You can also participate in a morning or afternoon guided horseback riding trail excursion. Immerse yourself in this glorious ‘western’ way of life! Overnight at Sundance Guest Ranch. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 9:Ashcroft to Vancouver
(374km) Back on the road again, you’ll leave B.C.’s interior ranchland behind as you look forward to your arrival in the coastal city of Vancouver.This city dazzles visitors with its magnificent setting and world-class attractions. Stay 2 nights in Vancouver. Breakfast included.

Day 10:Vancouver

Enjoy the entire day discovering the sights of Vancouver. Stanley Park is a 1,000-acre parkland in the heart of the city and a recreational paradise with trails, wonderful gardens, wildlife, beaches, picnic areas and Totem Park. For scenic, sweeping views of Vancouver and its outlying areas consider taking the aerial tram up Grouse Mountain. Or, take advantage of plenty of shopping opportunities in the historic Gastown area, on Granville Island (accessible by a short ferry ride), along the fashionable Robson Street, or in colourful Chinatown. Not to be missed is the short trip to Vancouver’s most popular visitor attraction – the Capilano Suspension Bridge and
Treetop Adventure.

Day 11:Vancouver to Manning Park

(180km) Depart Vancouver and travel westwards toward the city of Hope, continuing on to Manning Provincial Park, situated in the Cascade Mountains of southeastern British Columbia.The park covers over 66,500 hectares of diverse terrain and is home to a variety of wildlife including beavers, chipmunks, coyotes, black bears, deer and over 190 species of birds. Overnight in Manning Park.

Day 12: Manning Park to Salmon Arm

(282km) Part of the route today takes you through the lovely landscape of the Okanagan Valley, known for its lush orchards, beaches and hot, dry climate. Cities which may be of interest along your drive to Salmon Arm are Penticton, Kelowna and Vernon. Overnight in Salmon Arm.

Day 13: Salmon Arm to Seebe
(436km) Leave the rolling hillsides and tranquil shores of Salmon Arm Bay behind as you head east, crossing the provincial border into Alberta and enjoying a scenic drive through the Rockies and Kananaskis Valley on your way to Seebe. Overnight in Seebe. Dinner included.

Day 14: Seebe

The day is at leisure to discover Seebe and its surroundings. Glorious mountain scenery forms a beautiful backdrop for hiking, biking, horseback riding, golfing, swimming, tennis or a helicopter tour.You might also want to explore Bow Valley and Peter Lougheed Provincial Parks. Overnight in Seebe. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 15: Seebe to Calgary - end of tour

(82km) It’s a short drive to Calgary where you’ll proceed to Calgary International Airport to check in for your return flight. Breakfast included.
